CONNECT LEAGUE

Where Exposure is earned, Championships are chased, and every game Counts.

What is Connect Basketball League?

The Connect Basketball League (CBL) is a true national youth basketball circuit for boys and girls in grades 3–12. It is designed to provide:

  • A Simple Format – One Regional event → Nationals. Regional champions automatically qualify for Division 1 Nationals. Other teams are seeded into Divisions 1–3 based on wins and league performance.
  • Exposure for Players – Every athlete receives a Hoop Connect Card, a modern player identity shared with college coaches, including eligibility verification, highlights, and contact info.
  • Elite Competition – 22+ Regional stops across the country bring together top teams for meaningful games at every level.
  • National Championships – The season culminates in three championship divisions at Nationals, so every team plays for something important.
  • Recognition – League-wide accolades such as All-Star Teams, Player Awards, Dunk & 3-Point Contests, and Coaches of the Year.

The Connect League keeps things simple, fair, and competitive while ensuring maximum exposure for players and memorable experiences for teams.

REGIONALS

Regionals = Your Path to Nationals

3-Game Guarantee: Each Regional is a full tournament with pool play + bracket play.

Every Game Counts: Teams are ranked by Win Percentage (W% = Wins ÷ Games Played). Pool, bracket, and consolation games all go toward your record.

Final Placement Matters: Champions, Runner-Ups, and Semifinalists earn priority in tie-break situations.

Automatic Bids: Regional Champions in every age group qualify for Division 1 Nationals.

Nationals Path: Remaining bids are awarded based on W% and performance. Teams not qualifying for D1 will compete in D2 or D3 Nationals.

Teams are ranked by Win Percentage (W%) = Wins ÷ Games Played.

FINALS STRUCTURE

Each age group has Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 brackets.

Division 1 (Championship Bracket):

  • Only the top 32 teams per age division qualify.
  • Reserved for regional winners and the highest point-earning teams.

Division 2 & Division 3:

  • Teams not in the top 32 will be seeded into D2 or D3 based on points.

Small Divisions: If fewer than 8 teams enter a division, divisions may be combined to ensure competitive play.
